COD : WWII REVIEW
What's up everyone! Long time no talk! Sorry for the delay in reviews, pics and whatnot, been a crazy past week or so. Might as well start off my newest blog post about a game I know mostly everyone went out and bought..... Call of Duty : WWII. The game brings us back to the franchise's roots and not all that futuristic bulls*** that has seemingly overtaken every single FPS out there. No more wall runs, bionic perks and all that. We finally are getting a FPS we have been missing for quite some time now. I've almost lost all hope for Halo after being in constant disappointment mode (Halo 3 was the last good game to come out of that franchise) and Overwatch, Battlefield, and those other ones just seem to get pretty boring now. It's time for a breathe of fresh air and that's exactly what Call of Duty gave us.
The mechanics of the game are perfected and the gameplay (even with it's lag issues) prove to be second to none. The maps leave a little to be desired, as do most games upon launch, but other than, shockingly I have very little to say in a negative way. It's also worth noting that I'm not some huge COD junky. Truth be told, I'm a Halo fan through and through and even though I bash the franchise for it's lackluster titles over the years (talking to you Microsoft) I still remain a faithful and loyal fan and will always continue to be an advocate for it. I was always the guy that would say "Halo is so much better than COD it's not even close". Now I'm kind of eating my words.
It's just too hard for me NOT to commend this game. It's the most near perfect FPS I have played since my favorite game of all time; Halo 2. While I haven't played the campaign, or Zombies (more on that later) I have been nothing but impressed. Graphics, Gameplay, Mechanics, Guns, Perks, it has everything every COD fan could want. Around the Metro Detroit area, World at War was everyones favorite COD game, and with this release, it has most certainly overtaken that.
Now, to the game changer. If you're still not the fence on whether you should invest 60 bucks into another game, because lets face it, gaming is one of the most expensive hobbies, you should do it just for the Zombie mode. I haven't played it yet, but if it's anything like World at War's Zombie mode, I can promise you, it's worth it. I'll probably be up until around 4 AM tonight playing with my friends to be honest.
